Previous   Next

The picture shows a Roman dining room (triclinium) in which, according to the then prevalent custom, meals were taken in a reclining position.
Numerous fragments of painted wall plaster which were found during the excavation show that the walls were once covered with brightly coloured frescos.
This room also has a heating system. It was reconstructed and is » ready-to-operate from the adjacent northern room.
